Castor oil is known as a tonic laxative. It works by increasing bowel movement, which helps stool pass.
Do not use castor oil if you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
How to use Wadi Al-Nahil Castor Oil Syrup: For constipation: 15-60 ml once. To empty colon contents: 15-60 mL orally once, 16 hours before the procedure. Doses may be changed in some special cases, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.
Do not use this medication if: you have an obstruction or perforation in your digestive tract, severe impaction, symptoms of appendicitis or acute surgical abdomen, ulcerative colitis, rectal fissures.
